The New Orleans issue is significantly scarcer in Gem level than any of the Morgan's dollars struck at other mints in 1880. The vast majority of Gem examples are non- proof like, these pieces being the only Gem 1880 o dollars typically collectible. Central strike sharpness is outstanding for this example.
