1921 Morgan Silver Dollar Tough Proof-like Gem, Top 100 Vam-25 (m288)

  
Last year for this series, but as a TOP-100, VAM-25, it is highly sought and tough to find in Proof-Like, let alone the excellent condition it's in. Nice, clear mirrored fields adorn this coin with gorgeous cartwheel. This coin has the 17-Berry, D-1a reverse, and the die marriage is in Early Die State, often with, and evidenced by, proof-like reflective surfaces. 1921 was the only year where the mint experimented with the two different collars to create the edge reeding.

The usual reed count for the series is 189, and the wide, infrequent reeded varieties of 1921, such as this coin has, have 157. Truly a great find and excellent variety coin to have in your possession in the die state it is clearly in. It is in our best and honest opinion that this coin is in GEM condition.
